The velvet front is surprisingly soft and hasn't pilled at all after a few weeks of daily wear. My son has a big head for his age and the snapback still has a couple notches left, so it'll fit him for a while. The mesh back keeps him from sweating through it at recess.
My daughter wore this to a birthday party and got compliments from two other moms. The snapback actually stays put on her head instead of sliding around, and the white mesh back keeps her from getting sweaty.
The velvet is so soft and has this nice sheen that looks way more expensive than it is. My son refuses to take it off, and the snapback fits him now with room to grow, which is perfect.
