The purple velvet front feels way softer than I expected, and the mesh back actually keeps my son's head cool during recess. The snapback adjusted down enough to fit him now but there's room to loosen it as he grows.
My daughter wore this to school the day it arrived and refused to take it off. The purple mesh back actually lets her head breathe, which matters since she runs hot. Snapback adjusts enough that it'll probably fit her for another year or two.
